This one is perfect for that!.I loved (and bought just for) the fact that it works perfectly on GNU\/Linux Fedora 28, i7 7700K, 16GB RAM, Nitro+ RX 580. Great game, played it first on the GGJ in Macedonia and i can freely say i dont regret buying it.The game and its story are unique themselves, with extra cosmetics that you dont need to pay for. Game is easy to play, but hard to master, and the controls are simple:just press space or LMB!Plus,I've been waiting for the game to release because it looked interesting on the GGJ and i wanted to support the devs.AND,for the low price of 2,50 euros, the game is great and its not expensive.10\/10 would buy another 3 times. I played board games with the game devs last week and promised them I would support their first Steam game and buy it. I wasn't about to back down on that promise. The game itself is decent, though. Just read the description and you know pretty much everything there is to know about its "smartphone-inspired" gameplay. If you play games in short spells, you got nothing to lose, plus the price is difficult to beat given the content you'll be getting. The music is also cool and worth a mention. Oh, and if you tend to get dizzy easily, you might want to think twice before playing Odium, as things tend to get fast, spinny and flashy a lot.. So cooool gameeeeee!I played for the first time in Reboot Develop in croatia and I liked it a lot. I have to say the tutorial is a bit weird when you play for the first time but you get used to the controls and the rhythm quite fastMy favourite thing till now is the first boss fight in stage 6! Its so awesomeeeeeee. I want more! Lets see the next levels :). It's a great little game, atmospheric, nice visuals and music. The difficulty is balanced well. Make sure you listed to the music, the beat helps you out, tells you what rhythm of clicking you should use.Very nice package, and for very cheap.. Pros: * Amazing art, design and presentation. * Very well thought out boss design that fits perfectly in the one button gameplay who is already fluid enough. * The music has very interesting sound cues that is complementing the flow of the game (in the likes of Thumper).* The cut-scenes have amazing atmosphere. In Between: * I think some checkpoints could be reworked, in this kind of fast-retry gameplay there are some stage checkpoints that are just too long in between and can put a strain on your concentration pretty fast. The challenge that comes with this could be approached differently.* Even though the game itself and the cutscenes in between stages are great I feel like there is a discrepancy between them, in terms of presentation tone. The game feels like a light cartoonish journey while the cut scenes have pretty dark approach to them.* The gameplay camera turn can turn off some people.Cons:* The music need a lot more variance, there so much focus on the drums (especially in the first stages) where they cover the back layers of the score. This may be due to the final mix. Moreover the ear fatigue that comes with it may just make you turn off the sound and continue like that which would be a shame because in general the game is well thought out with it.* The loudness is not consistent throughout the game.* The secret collectable should persist after death.I recommend this game to anyone who likes self driving rhythm games. And I would suggest to play it on PC! This may feel like a mobile game but that platform won't do it justice properly hence you will miss out on the amazing details it has to offer.. Flappy Bird styled gameplay with centipedes and Drum and Bass.Oh boy, what a potential mix for epic failure. But there's none to be found. Instead the devs put a LOT of care into the idea and created a stellar execution. This seems to be the first title from Dark-1, so extra credits!Odium is an audio-visual experience that's very trippy, but you get that from the screen\/vids alone. What you don't see from the videos is that the gameplay and the button presses you make are pretty much in complete sync to the music. When done correctly, it's easier to get the orbs and dodge obstacles.Due to the drum and bass tempo it's a very fast game. There's leeway in the first few levels but at 10+ there's so much obstacles turning only visible in close proximity that you can't really dodge by reaction alone. The key is to have faith in the beat and get the right angle to flow through the tight obstacle course. The music and different breaks in speed work really well in the game and it's fun to see when your little eye moves very slowly to slow parts and quickly accelerates when the music gets going. The level design gets an interesting pacing with this and can lead to dramatic chase sequences. Really well done, there's a lot of creativity to be found. The downside to the high tempo, it's very hard and exhausting. I think I died 90 times at level 10. So be prepared for a challenge! (Thanks for the 100 death achievment! I think I won't have problems on the 1k death if it exists)The visual noise is sometimes a little excessive, making parts harder than they should be. Having played the BIT.TRIP series a lot I'm used to these things and kind of filter it out after a while but if that's not your thing the later levels could be less enjoyable for you.. Been following the development of this game since Dark-1 presented the game on the globalgamejam few years ago, its really a different game since then in a positive way. I just bought it and have only 20 minutes in the game, but for now I think it is a really interesting concept - gameplay wise, awesome soundtrack (they should sell as separate dlc\/ost caz its really good), great art and animation. It's really hard, but challenging, it reminds me of super meat boy in that way.You should definitely try it out!(I might update this review when I pump up the play time numbers )
